To cover a maternity leave, the FEI is seeking a part-time (80%) Administrator for the Dressage, Para Dressage, and Vaulting Department. This seven-month fixed-term position is set to begin by mid-April 2025 or on a mutually agreed date. The position is based in Lausanne.
Para Equestrian Administrator
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director of the Dressage, Para Dressage & Vaulting Department, the candidate will be responsible for the coordination and administration of the Para Equestrian, Technical Committee, and Classification activities, ensuring the smooth operation of committee meetings, liaising with the IPC, and upholding technical and classification standards to facilitate the sport’s development and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
Para Equestrian Technical Committee (PETC):
- Manage the Committee meetings, prepare and circulate agendas, annexes, prepare and circulate minutes and progress reports on various tasks and decisions;
- Manage the Para Dressage and Classification Rule Books and the Rule Revision Process. Managing feedback from stakeholders as per the annual Rules Revision timeline; and
- Supporting the PETC and the Classification Working Group on all aspects of communications and logistics.
International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Communications and Liaison:
- Point of contact for all IPC Communications (sport and classification and grant applications);
- Prepare and coordinate annual IPC Grants and Nominations and associated reporting processes; and
- Updating Rules to ensure compliance with IPC / Classification Code.
Classification System Management:
- Provide administration of all PI and VI Classification requests and results;
- Administration of the Classification process, communication with stakeholders; and
- Administration of classification research projects and serving as a key point of contact / coordinator.
Compensating Aids Administration:
- Process and provide administration for all requests for compensating aids from National Federations and maintain an updated master list and revising guidelines as necessary.
General Administrative Responsibilities:
- Update the website content and coordinate communications with National Federations and key stakeholders;
- Organise various meetings for Working Groups and Stakeholders as required; and
- Other administrative tasks to support the Dressage, Para Dressage and Vaulting Department.
Position Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English (level C1), spoken French is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience required
- Rigorous, meticulous with attention to detail
- Positive interpersonal skills with a strong service mindset
- Ability to work well within a team, under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience and knowledge of equestrian sport
